Mega Digimon dominate in Digimon X-Record!

It wasn't that long since our last Digimon TCG set, Digital Hazard, featuring all of your favourite Digimon Tamers characters! Well now, we have Digimon X-Record in both Booster Boxes and Booster Packs set to release this week! This set contains X-Antibody Digimon in all colours, as well as cards from the anime Digimon Ghost Game, such as Jellymon and Kiyoshiro Higashimitarai! There are some powerful new Digimon cards to showcase from this set, so let's get into it!

We begin with a couple of familiar faces in new versions of Omnimon, in Omnimon: Merciful Mode, and Gallantmon, in Gallatmon (X-Antibody). This Omnimon can evolve from Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green Level 6 Digimon, as well as any other Omnimon for 3 Memory, making it a pretty versatile card to play. This card allows you to delete your opponent's Digimon on summon and put cards from their trash back into their deck (take that Purple!), as well as having the ability to trash the top card of your opponent's Security at the beginning of your turn! Did I mention it also has 15,000 DP? This, like pretty much all of the other Omnimon to grace our tables, is fantastic! Gallantmon (X-Antibody) is very in line with the other Gallantmon we've seen previously, and it only costs 1 Memory to digivolve it from any other Gallantmon! When digivolving, you get to delete your opponent's Digimon with the lowest DP, and if nothing was deleted by this effect, you get to unsuspend it! Also, when an opponent's Digimon is deleted, if Gallantmon or X-Antibody is in this Digimon's digivolution cards, you get to trash the top of your opponent's Security stack too! As we said earlier in the blog, there's a lot of X-Antibody support here, with Cool Boy being a standout and great Tamer to pair with the deck, allowing you the opportunity to get them into your hand quicker, and gain 1 Memory and Draw 1 when you digivolve a Digimon to the same level but with an X-Antibody trait! 

Speaking of X-Antibody support, a lot of Option cards have been boosted with some X-Antibody aid, with many gaining reductions in Memory cost if you have an X-Antibody in play! Gaia Force ZERO allows you to delete an opponent's Digimon with 13,000 DP or less, then you can have one of your Greymon attack you opponent! Our two Secret Rares in this set are DeathXmon and Alphamon: Ouryuken. DeathXmon is a Purple and Black Digimon with the Unanalyzable trait and 15,000 DP! It also costs 20 Memory to play normally, but you can reduce its Memory cost by 3 for each Tamer and Digimon your opponent has in play. On play you get to de-digivolve all of your opponent's Digimon by 1, then delete all of them that are Level 4 or less. At the end of your opponent's turn, you can delete all of your opponent's Digimon with the lowest play cost! Really interesting! Alphamon: Ouryuken has 16,000 DP and when digivolving can delete all of your opponent's Digimon with the highest play cost! It can also give you Memory back at the end of your turn, which could make for some very intriguing plays!
