Power up your Digimon with Tamers in Digital Hazard!
Written by Jonnii Small - Jul 02 2022
Later this week we see the release of the next Digimon set, Digital Hazard! Digital Hazard celebrates the 20th anniversary of Digimon Tamers, showcasing Digimon, Tamers, and Option cards all related to the series! With new additions for all colours and play-styles, as well as a load of beautiful alternate arts, we can't wait to check this set out! We hope you're excited too, so make sure to pre-order your Booster Packs and Boxes! Now, let's look at a few of the cards in this set!
We begin with our trio of main Mega Digimon from the series, starting with MegaGargomon! This Digimon allows you to suspend opponent's Digimon (and stop them from unsuspending during your opponent's next Unsuspend Phase) up to the Green Tamers you control, playing into the general Green archetype. However, when attacking, you can return 1 of your opponent's suspended Digimon with DP less than or equal to this card's DP (13,000) to your opponent's hand, which is pretty neat, especially when combined with the litany of other suspend-based cards in Green! Sakuyamon is up next, a Yellow Digimon working to reduce your opponent's Digimon's DP (as standard with Yellow), but also integrating well with Option cards that have 'Plug-In' in their name! Very thematic and hopefully good too! And our final main character Digimon Mega evolution is Gallantmon, becoming 14,000 DP on your turn, and having the ability to delete your opponent's Digimon when attacking! Lots of deletion in red, as usual!
Beelzemon returns in this set as a Secret Rare, still Purple and has some very simple, yet effective, effects! When Blast Mode is trashed from the deck, you get to delete 1 of your opponent's level 4 or lower Digimon, playing in to that Purple 'trashing' play-style. When digivolving, you have the ability to delete all of your opponent's Digimon with the highest level. And then, for every 10 cards in your trash, this 15,000 DP Digimon gains Security Attack +1! This Demon Lord looks to play as beastly on the tabletop! Mother D-Reaper represents an intriguing archetype in this set. It's a White Digimon and on all turns can't attack and cannot be affected by your opponent's abilities. However, Mother D-Reaper allows you to boost and reduce the cost to play all of your other D-Reaper monsters, giving you the potential to swarm your field with ADR Agents! And, we'll round off with Calumon! Calumon can't attack, but can give you draw power and boost the DP of your other Digimon, all while potentially coming into play for less if you have Guilmon, Terriermon, Renamon, or Impmon already in play!
Of course there are a lot of other cards in this set, from many a Tamer to the massive Justimon Blitz Arm! But you'll have to discover all of those for yourself when the set releases later this week! Head on over to the product page and pick up your Booster Boxes and Packs of this set and celebrate the 20th anniversary of Digimon Tamers!
