Reborn from the Ashes

Returning to the tabletop scene like a phoenix rising, the two-player card and dice duelling game, Ashes: Reborn is back!
The core concept of Ashes: Reborn is that you take on the role of the Phoenixborn, a demi-god protector of the world. Utilising your deck of allies, spells, and conjurations, you’ll seek to destroy the Phoenixborn on the other side of the table. What makes Ashes stand out, compared to other similar card games, is the dice-based resource system. At the beginning of your turn, you will roll all the dice you have pre-picked for that Phoenixborn, then, depending on the sides that you rolled, you will use those dice to perform actions on your turn. With a now huge cardpool and smoothened gameplay, Ashes: Reborn is set to heat up the expandable card game scene!
If you are a returning player who played Ashes: Rise of the Phoenixborn back when it came out in 2015, not much has changed! The art is still as beautiful as ever, all the Phoenixborn are still here, and this initial release showcases all the product and cards that have already come out for Ashes 1.0. Despite this, there are over 350 cards that have been slightly retooled and adapted to 2021 card game standards that you will be needing if you are looking to update your old collection, all of which can be found in the Ashes: Reborn Update Kit
However, if you are new to Ashes, the best place to get started is the Ashes: Reborn Master Set!This set contains 6 Phoenixborn, the initial 4 different types of dice and over 200 cards all in pre-built decks so that you can play immediately! This box also contains all the tokens and rules you need to fully learn how to play the game!
Should you like the gameplay that Ashes: Reborn provides, it might be worth looking at the two deluxe expansion sets: The Song of Soaksend and the Law of the Lion. Both come with a new style of dice to match a new Phoenixborn, a pre-made deck, and a gorgeous deck box. These deluxe sets will give you further options when looking to deck build for any of the other heroes. As well as those sets, there are a whole host of other Phoenixborn available to purchase in their own pre-made decks. Expansion packs such as The Duchess of Deception and The Demon of Darmas provide further replayability and options when looking to play Ashes, as well as more pre-made decks with those characters!
Either way, we are glad that Ashes has been reborn in this new form and are incredibly excited to see what is next for this gorgeous and strategic card game!
