Terraforming Mars: Venus Next, the second expansion for the Terraforming Mars base game, has players building flying cities and making the atmosphere more hospitable on the deadly planet Venus.

In Venus Next, the World Government chooses to also fund the terraforming of Venus. Around 50 project cards and 5 corporations are added, with a special focus on how to make Venus habitable. With the new floater resource, a new milestone, a new award, a new tag, and a new terraforming parameter, players are given more paths to victory and an even more varied play.

Great expansion if you already love Terraforming Mars. Pros: - Very interesting new Venus Tag Cards and Floater (heh) Resource heavily focused on in new cards, but also making some underwhelming elements of the base game become stronger. - The focus on interplanetary cards that require Earth, Jovian and Venus Tags create new power combos and new ways to play., - New Board just adds a little depth to the game without changing the overall balance or complexity of the base game. - Great new factions that are interesting to play without seeming overpowered - Still no obvious "meta" - lots of different ways to win the game Cons: - Ultimately not a huge amount of content for the price tag, but would still suggest it is a must buy for any fan of the game
