Chaos Cards Halloween Workshops

In the Summer, our Flagship Folkestone store; Chaos Cards Tabletop Gaming Centre, ran a range of exciting Pokemon Craft Workshops, and we were so sad when the holidays came to an end and we had to say goodbye! So you can imagine our excitement when Spooktober came around and with it, the prospect of some sort of creepy Halloween craft. Luckily our favourite artist and Dobble Whizz Becky Vincer was on hand to design something truly imaginative for our younger artists to create and take home.
This time around the Pokemon of choice was Gengar. We thought the mischievous Ghost type Pokemon was the perfect candidate for our Halloween themed workshop. As you can imagine, spaces went quickly, with lots of newcomers alongside our lovely regulars. Some families even came in creepy fancy dress! As with previous workshops, the sessions are open to all ages, but with the average age of attendees being 5-15. It’s a great family friendly event and we love seeing everyones super smiles and amazing artwork!

Get Ready for the Gengar Lantern Workshop!
Using Paint, scissors, paper bowls and tape, Becky designed a super spine-chilling Gengar Lantern. The simple but effective design looked eerily perfect for any ‘Trick or Treating’ on the 31st October! The lanterns even had multicoloured lights inside which could flash or stay one colour. They look so effective in the dark. The workshops took place over two sessions, with Becky leading the lantern construction and Katie assisting with the trusty heat dryer and gluegun! The skills in these spooky sessions included cutting, sticking and painting, we loved that even some of the adults got stuck in!

We love how all the Pokemon crafts look completely different from each other at our workshops, and the Gengar lanterns did not disappoint! We even had a trusty Pikachu and metallic Magnetron from our talented young artists! It was great fun to see all the lanterns come together and light up at the end of each session.
