Discover explosive new archetypes in Burst of Destiny!

Yu-Gi-Oh!'s latest main set, Burst of Destiny hit the shelves this past week! With some brand new archetypes and tonnes of support cards all over the shop, this set is a whopper! Now, let's take a look at some of the beautiful new Yu-Gi-Oh! cards in Burst of Destiny!

Of course, this being a main set, we have the return of some gorgeous Starlight Rares! This time including the ever powerful, Elemental HERO Stratos! Stratos' main effect is simple, on summon you can add any another HERO from your deck to your hand or destroying spell/traps on the field equal to the amount of HERO monsters you've got out, except Stratos. Pretty versatile! Another member of the 'Starlight Club' in this set is Incredible Ecclesia, the Virtuous! Not only is Ecclesia a free special summon if your opponent has more monsters out, but can tribute themselves for any Fallen of Albaz or Swordsoul card in your hand or deck as a quick effect during a Main Phase! And is a Tuner! Yikes!

Speaking of Swordsoul, they get some heavy support in this set, with Swordsoul of Mo Ye being a pretty great bit of kit! Mo Ye gets out a token on summon if you have a Swordsoul or Wyrm monster in hand. This helps you go straight into your Synchro monsters as soon as possible, with Mo Ye also getting you a draw off of it too! Another archetype getting some hot support in Burst of Destiny is Evil Twin. Evil Twin's Trouble Sunny is a Link monster with some great link arrows, but can also tribute themselves as a quick effect for special summons from the GY of almost anything else in the archetype!

But there are also brand new archetypes in this release, with Floowandereeze being one of them! These WIND Winged-Beasts gain effects from Tribute summoning. Floowandereeze & Empen lets you add a Floowandereeze spell/trap to your hand on Tribute summon, then gains you an additional normal summon. But that's not all! It also negates your opponent's special summoned monsters from activating their effects if they are in attack position! Nasty! The other new one in this set are Icejade monsters, like Icejade Tremora. These WATER Aqua monsters have some great generic synergies with WATER monsters, but we'll have to wait and see about what else they can do when they get further support down the road! 

As usual, there are a lot of other archetypes getting boosted in this main set such as Rokket, Penguin, Beetrooper, Destiny HERO, Machina, Reptilliane, Gunkan Suship and more!
