Great Legends arrive in Digimon!

We’re in the midst of Digi-mania now and so we’re up to our third TCG set in Great Legend! There are a lot of new concepts, keywords, and of course, foil cards in this latest box! So, let’s go through a few of the standouts of this stunning set!
Let’s start off with a couple of the Secret Rares in BT04! Both Ancient Greymon and Ancient Garurumon make their debuts here with not only some gorgeous artwork, but pretty nice abilities too! Both have 13000 DP, cost 12 Memory to play, and 5 Memory to Digivolve onto their respective colours! But what about their effects?! Ancient Greymon gets Security Attack +1 for each ‘Greymon’ or ‘Hybrid’ underneath it as Digivolution cards! Also, when it’s deleted, allowing you to play a Red Level 4 or lower ‘Hybrid’ from your hand for free! Ancient Garurumon on the other hand, let’s you unsuspend up to 2 of your ‘Garurmon’ or ‘Hybrid’ Digimon while attacking (which is already pretty fantastic!), as well as having the same deletion ability as Ancient Greymon, only applying to Blue ‘Hybrid’ cards as opposed to Red ones!
What would a Digimon set be without some great Super Rares, especially the versatile White Digimon! Take Chaosmon: Valdur Arm as an example! This Level 7 boasts 14000 DP and can be digivolved onto a Green or Yellow Level 6, then allowing you access to it’s digivolution ability to give 1 of your opponent’s Digimon 7000 DP! Oh, you also get 3 Memory on it’s deletion, allowing you to play your higher cost cards more easily! Speaking of high cost cards, we have the Green Level 6, Nidhoggmon! This card boasts the new ‘Digi-Burst’ keyword, trashing X amount of Digivolution cards under this to perform a powerful ability! Nidhoggmon asks you to trash 4 cards under it to suspend all of your opponent’s 5000 DP or less Digimon, then throw all of their suspended Digimon to the bottom of their deck! Very powerful against those ‘Rookie Rush’ lists!
There’s already been some chat about these ‘Hybrid’ Digimon, so let’s take a look at some! Starting with Aldamon, this Red Level 5 has Security Attack +1, 7000 DP, but most importantly, while this Digimon has a digivolution source with ‘Hybrid’ in it’s form or is a Tamer card, it gains +4000 DP! The Blue Level 5, Beowolfmon has similar stats, with the always great ‘Jamming’ keyword, but with added protection (it can’t be attacked!) if it has a ‘Hybrid’ or Tamer card underneath it.
Overall, there’s a lot of fantastic cards in this set, providing more variety to each colour and some great stuff for ‘Hybrid’, as well as both Green & Yellow Digimon! So, if you’re looking to be the greatest in the land, check out Great Legend here!
