Digivolve into Champions in V1.0!

12th Feb 2021 marks the release of the first English Digimon TCG set, Version 1.0! This set contains cards from the Japanese releases BT-01/02/03 and includes a lot of fan favourite Digimon! So, let’s take a look at some of the biggest names in this brand new Digimon release!
First up, we have one of my personal favourite Digimon, Gallantmon! Not only does it look absolutely stunning (especially the alt. art!) but it also has some great effects! When you digivolve into it, and have a red Tamer in play, you can automatically delete a Digimon with 6000 DP or less, and when it’s attacking you can trash some of your opponent’s security stack for free! Getting rid of your opponent’s security stack has never been this shiny!
In contrast to Gallantmon, this one lets you digivolve it for free if you have a ton of cards in your trash onto an Impmon you control! This one also lets you delete a Digimon your opponent controls when digivolving, allowing you even more control over the battlefield! There are also some really important keywords in this first set, including Blocker (that allows you to force an opponent to attack that Digimon instead) and Reboot (which lets you unsuspend your Digimon more frequently). One Digimon that combined both of these is WarGreymon, one of the most popular Digimon and featured in some beautiful art in this set!
And introducing two white cards that are incredibly powerful! Starting with Milleniummon, this card gives you the ability to trash ANY Digimon on the field and has some great recoverability. While Omnimon lets you destroy multiple of the same Digimon on the opponent’s side of the field, can unsuspend while it’s attacking and has some of the highest DP currently in the game!
There’s a lot more in this set as well as upcoming ones, so much so that this game is already looking incredibly interesting, strategic and fun!
